Why go in June
Warm but not scorching, bougainvillea in bloom, pre/post peak
About Amalfi Coast
Italy’s Amalfi Coast tumbles down the cliffs of the Sorrentine Peninsula in a cascade of pastel villages, lemon terraces and hairpin roads hung high above the Tyrrhenian Sea. Positano stacks its houses like an amphitheatre over the water, while Ravello floats serenely above it all in gardens that look straight down the coastline.
When to go
June is the sweet spot — the sea is finally warm enough to swim, the bougainvillea and lemon groves are at their most vivid, and you arrive just before the July–August crush of crowds and prices. Days are long and reliably sunny, so it’s ideal for a Capri day trip by boat or a Path of the Gods guided hike before the midsummer heat sets in.
What it costs indicative, varies by date
Things to do book tickets & tours
Hop between Positano, Amalfi and Ravello by ferry, wander Amalfi’s striped cathedral, and sip limoncello on a cliffside terrace. For the best day on the water, book an Amalfi Coast private boat tour and swim into the hidden grottoes the road never reaches.
